To help decide which preservative treatment is the most appropriate for your timbers there are various systems available based on industry standards and experience.
Use Classes
The Use Class system, defined in BS EN 335-1, helps to classify the levels of preservative protection required, depending upon the timber's eventual end use. The table below illustrates the system and the appropriate Lonza treatments for each Use Class.
