Within the Wood Protection Association Manual there are a series Commodity Codes to assist in the specification of fire retardant treated timber, which are detailed in the table below together with the appropriate Arch treatment. However, because the specification of fire retardant treatments can be crucial in terms of the safety of a building and its inhabitants, we do recommend that specifiers do check the correct treatment has been identified for each particular project.
